We sold our first ever fresh mushrooms at Brighton Food Festival’s Spring Harvest back at Easter time so felt like old hands 6 months later for the Hove Lawns Market , and it was great to see familiar faces, and have the chance to meet the city’s foodies and mushroom lovers in person!
I still find it amazing how quickly the mushrooms grow – and standing beside the same display kits really brought that to life. Here are a couple of photos of the same kit on Saturday, then again on Sunday afternoon!
We also provided a few bouquets of our fresh mushrooms for the Ready Steady Cook challenge taking place at the Live Food Stage and were very impressed with Ollie Couillaud from the Lawn Bistro’s omelette creation.
Ethical coffee brand Cafédirect were also at the market, and not only kept us supplied with lovely coffee, they also gave us their grounds to grow more mushrooms on!
